American Idol David Cook is looking for an engagement ring for his girlfriend, A.I. Season 2 contestant Kimberly Caldwell.
According to a report featured in this week’s issue of Star Magazine, David plans to pop the question over the holidays, and the crooning Texan has his heart set on presenting Kimberly with an extravagant 2-carat diamond and platinum ring from Tiffany’s to seal the deal.
Asking price on the ring? $54,000.
“He’s not used to spending that kind of money on jewelry, so he needs to give it some thought.”
David and Kimberly, both 26, have been dating since May.

This hasn’t been confirmed or anything. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a rumor until the actual words come out of the man’s mouth themselves.

oh my dear god that boy needs serious psychological help … is he trying to ruin his career? All those millions of people voted for him and what does he do? he wrecks his career by marrying that skanky woman whom so many people dislike. She is an awful reflection on David …. stupid stupid young man!!
