Not much action for the Idols in the digital realm this week. Nielsen SoundScan’s data has David Cook the only Idol whose digital album sales rank among the 50 best-selling for the week ending Jan. 11. He sold 3,000, down from 4,000 the week before, meaning he’s sold 92,000 downloads of David Cook.

Cook and David Archuleta flip-flopped on the tracks side, with Cook’s Light On barely outselling Crush. Light On sold 38,000 downloads, compared with the last week’s 58,000, enough to keep Cook in the Top 40 (at 39) and bring the Light On total to 524,000. Archuleta’s Crush dropped a steep 46 percent, from 68,000 to 36,000, knocking him to 43 on the chart but nudging the track’s overall numbers past the 1.4 million mark.

After that, you’ve got to go all the way to 167 for Cook’s Time of My Life. Downloads for that fell off nearly 50 percent, from 18,000 to 9,000, keeping the total in the 1.1 million range. Jennifer Hudson’s Spotlight dimmed 32 percent, its 8,000 sales (down 32 percent from 11,000) only enough to keep it at 180. Her new total: 351,000.
