Lot’s of peeps have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of the next single off of David Cook’s platinum album, David Cook… All Access.com is reporting that the single is “Come Back to Me.” One of the few songs on David Cook that David didn’t have a hand in writing, “Come Back to Me” is set to impact Hot Adult Contemporary on March 30. We’ll see how it stacks up against his previous singles. “Light On” had a slow start, but is currently #4 on the Billboard Hot Adult Top 40. It peaked at #20 on the Mainstream Top 40 and is currently #2o on the Hot Adult Contemporary Chart. The Idol winner song, “Time of My Life” sat at #1 on the AC chart for over 15 weeks… Source

   Well, that sucks. One of my least favorites. Don’t they have ANY sort of faith in David’s writing? Why not do “A Daily AntheM”? God knows Idol’s been pumping that song on their auditions round more than once…
   I’m hoping something happens and the single choice changes.

   Not that I don’t like that song, but there are others that are way better! I think Lie should have been the next single. Who makes these decisions? They should be picking the best songs.

   It may be that certain things were promised to the cowriters. We fans have our favorites, that’s for sure!! If we support eveeything David, this is one of the costs. “Permanent” may grow the fan base. Lots of things to consider! Will see him for the fourth time next saturday…adoring fan with a supportive hubby
