The older brother of American Idol champ David Cook has lost his battle with brain cancer, according to the singer’s official website. Adam Cook, 36, a lawyer, died early Sunday morning after an 11-year struggle with the disease, which had spread to his spine. He leaves behind his wife, Kendra, and their children. David made the announcement Sunday morning at the 12th Annual Race for Hope 5K run/walk in Washington, D.C. benefiting finding a cure for brain cancer. The “Light On” rocker was the event’s honorary chairman and his team raised more the $97,000 for the cause. The brothers had one of AI’s most memorable, tear-worthy moments ever, when Adam sat in the audience in April 2008 and watched David perform his rendition of Mariah Carey‘s “Always Be My Baby.” Residents of their hometown in Terre Haute, Indiana, raised $45,000 so that Adam could be flown in with the proper medical care. how come it happens to him ,hope that david and his family could strieve all this obstacle and challenges.
i saw david on live t.v. show and good enough that he looks fine .we’ll pry for the soul of his brother and for the recovery against grief to david’s family.

A brother: A brother is sometimes more than just family. He can be a best friend, an idol, an inspiration.
I am so sorry to hear about your brother. He will always be with you in your heart and mind. God is taking care of him now and he is not far away. He will still be watching over you and going through all of your experiences with you. The only difference is that you can not see him and he is no longer in pain. Cancer is such a terrible disease. No one should have to suffer with it. He is in a better place. We will pray for the both of you. Take care. God bless.

Hi David,
I am sorry to hear about your brother and I can tell you that I know what you are going through. I lost my sister last June due to cancer that started out as breast and then spread to her lungs . All I can tell you is that it does get easier and always rember the good times that you had together. My thoughts are with you.

You are my favorite American Idol! I voted for you almost every Wednesday. You are awesome. I love your music and enjoy seeing you on talk shows and you are probably my favorite artist as of right now. I am really sorry about your brother. I don’t know if you’ll be reading this, but I just wanted to tell you that you are doing a GREAT job keep it up!!

Hi David,
I’m sorry about your Brother. I know what you are going thru. I lost my sister 6 months ago of a brain tumor also. She also suffer for so many years. Just trust in God that He will help you to get through these sad days and think that he is no suffering no longer. Your Brother is watching over you and he most be very proud of your achievement. Hung in there, just remember the good times that you had together.
