David’s song Permanent was used in a dance on So You Think You Can Dance Canada tonight. Nico and Allie danced and the story of the dance about two people in love…..the man was going off to war and finds out that the woman is pregnant. I can’t listen to Permanent without crying and watching Nico and Allie do this amazing, breathtaking and touching contemporary dance to it just totally did me in. So happy for David that that song got national exposure in Canada.
This is the full version with judges comments. Two of the judges were in tears too. There performance starts at 2:08 or 2:09. I’ve never embeded a video but I’m going to try here but just in case I mess up here is the link too.
American Idol champion David Cook just released his new album; the self-titled release is his first full-length since Idol. He recently stopped by The Pulse’s studios to play stripped down versions of “Light On” (co-written by hard rocker Chris Cornell, formerly of Soundgarden and Audioslave) and “Life On The Moon.” Check out the clips below.
For the last month we’ve been asking you guys to send in clips of yourselves performing David Cook’s hit, “Light On.” We got lots of entertaining submissions. But the end date has arrived, and the “Light On” Challenge is over. David has checked out lots of the clips himself and he wanted to comment on one that really impressed him. Check the video above for his reaction.
